I want to thank Kelvin Beachum Jr. for calling into my show! He is very personable and a great guy! He talked about his charity work off the field as well as his college career at SMU. He shared what it was like to be at the Super Bowl as a nominee for the NFL Walter Payton Man of The Year Award, even though he wasn't playing with the New York Jets in the big game. He described what it was like being drafted, and playing for one of his favorite teams growing up the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also discussed what it was like to play for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, as well as former New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles. Tony Paventa asked a great question about his time playing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, in which they defeated the Indianapolis Colts. He described how the team prepped for that time difference. He named the toughest defensive players that he's faced. He spoke about what it was like coming to New York, being from Texas, and signing with the Jets. Kelvin is a fan of Gospel music, as well as the Temptations, Blackstreet, and The Isley Brothers. The mindset for Kelvin and the Jets, like it always is, is to take the next step, make the playoffs, get to and win the Super Bowl. Thanks again Kelvin, I look forward to speaking with you again.
