Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men

February 12, 2019

I want to thank Shawn Stockman for calling into my show last night. He is very personable, and tells it like it is. He gave his opinion of the current generation of RnB artists, and the state of the Grammys. He gave backstories on most of the Boyz II Men albums including their first album Cooleyhighharmony. Every song on that album are their demos. The story behind their 1997 masterpiece album Evolution is heartbreaking, race started to play an issue with the direction of the group, and they thought they might be finished with music. However, they would go on to make more great albums such as Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, Full Circle, Throwback, Vol. 1, Collide, Love, and their most recent Under The Streetlight. This year is the 25th anniversary of their sensational 1994 album "II", when the Boyz II Men logo came into effect, and would forever leave an imprint on music. They are going on tour for their anniversary of "II", so be on the lookout they may be heading to your city soon! We also talked about how technology is changing our world. We discussed his newest Ep titled Shawn. He will be releasing his first solo album this May! It is possible that we could also get another Boyz II Men album as well. Shawn also has a radio show on Dash Radio called Boomerang Radio, I highly recommend everyone to check it out. On his radio show he plays 90s music along with talented artists from today. Shawn's passion's are playing the guitar and performing for fans. God bless you and keep doing what makes you happy! Thank you for everything you have done for music. We can't wait to see what you have coming next!

I also want to thank my brother Zaire Adams, who is the dopest graphic designer, for creating the great promo flier for this show as well as joining me in this interview. His contact information can be found on the bottom of the Sports & Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max 2019 page.
