Sports & Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max
with Guest Co-Host Loko Warbucks
DJ Tony Tone

April 29, 2019

I want to thank DJ Tony Tone from Street Glory on Hot 97, which airs on Sunday Mornings at 7am est, for coming on my show Sports & Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. He talked about becoming a DJ and knowing "his why" at the age of 12. He is passionate about Christian Hip-Hop music, and he started spinning it at a young age. He described his journey to Hot 97, getting his own show on the station, and becoming a Heavy Hitter. We discussed his interviews with DJ Scratch, his pastor A.R. Bernard, and DeVon Franklin. Go checkout those interviews and much more on Tony Tone's YouTube channel.

Shoutout to Loko Warbucks for coming on the show and spitting a fire freestyle over EPMD's Headbanger! We also talked sports! Tony is a Golden State Warriors, New York Yankees, and New York Giants fan. Tony Tone gave important advice to anyone who is trying to make it in the industry and knowing your why plays a big part of it! Most of all, DJ Tony Tone thanks God for his journey in life. I think we all should thank God more than we do.
